The CEO, Mariama Khai Fornah – Journalist , had the privilege of serving as a panelist at the Government Weekly Press Briefing. She joined Hon. Amara Kallon, Minister of Public Administration and Political Affairs; Augustine Moses Koroma, National Programmes Coordinator for the Free Quality School Education Project; and Patrick Sandi, Coordinator of Operations at the Anti-Corruption Commission. The session was ably moderated by Bockarie Abdel Aziz Bawoh, Deputy Minister of Information and Civic Education.
As Founder & CEO of Moving Women for Sustainable Development Sierra Leone (MoWSUD-SL), Madam Fornah shared insights on the theme: “How has the Free Quality Education impacted the lives of girls in Sierra Leone?”
At MoWSUD-SL, our mission is to champion women’s and girls’ empowerment through education, skills, and leadership development. Having our CEO bring the voice of civil society into this national dialogue was not just an honor, but also a responsibility we hold with deep commitment.
The discussion reinforced a vital truth: policy only becomes meaningful when it transforms lives. Civil society must remain a strong partner in ensuring that no girl is left behind.
